We were delighted to be awarded a Certificate of Merit in the recent Institute of Internal Communication Central & North Awards for a video we shot and produced for Mitie.
Mitie is one of the UK’s largest outsourced facilities management companies, serving sectors as diverse as education, manufacturing and utilities. Its services range from cleaning and maintenance through to baggage screening and CCTV monitoring.
Mitie were looking for a way to communicate messages from various delivery teams at their series of annual conferences. We worked with Mitie to find a fun way to create a series of videos (with serious messages) that would engage the audience rather than just a series of interviews. There were ten teams and each was given a film genre beforehand to adhere to from horror to superhero! We allowed each team a two-hour slot in which we would film their “mini movie”. This was a great opportunity for some real team bonding bearing in mind many individual members of the teams work in different locations so it was an ideal way for them to come together and work with their colleagues in a fun and engaging way. Some teams were more prepared than others and we used a combination of props that they’d brought with them as well as anything we could source during the slot we had given them. We also enhanced them through the editing process.
