At Pictures 55 we pride ourselves on being quick off the mark. Our ability to hit the ground running was certainly tested when the University of Buckingham got in touch with a short-notice project just days before Christmas.
The university needed help to promote a new course designed to nurture the skills of aspiring entrepreneurs. The brief to us? How best to attract potential students to find out more about an MSc in in Entrepreneurial Consultancy and Practice?
The biggest challenge was the fast turnaround. We took the brief for the project on the Tuesday. By the next day we were on site for a shoot. We spent Thursday in the editing suite and delivered the completed film on Friday.
But despite the demanding schedule we knew we couldn’t stint on quality. The university team helped us to break down the target audiences into four groups. We then shot different versions of the promotional video with content tailored to each one. They included graduates, mums thinking of starting their own enterprise, military veterans and ‘career crossroaders’.
To give each video an authentic flavour we interviewed past and current students to gauge their views. We also filmed course lecturers to get a snapshot of what students could expect.
Finally, to increase the reach of the film content, we created set of 20 video soundbites that could be posted on social media as part of a wider recruitment campaign.
Could we help you do the same? Drop us a line and we’ll be right on it!
